Reflections on EKTA: A Celebration of Knowledge, Innovation & Collaboration 🌿

I was truly honored to be part of EKTA — a well-organized and thoughtfully curated event that brought together diverse voices and minds working towards transforming India’s textile and MSME ecosystem.

This platform served as a knowledge powerhouse, with insightful discussions led by senior officials from the Ministry of Textiles, MSME Directorate, and Textile Committee Directors. Topics such as Geographical Indication (GI) tagging, MSME policies, and the role of institutions in empowering grassroots entrepreneurship were addressed with clarity and purpose.

What stood out most was the spirit of innovation — especially in conversations around natural fibers and technical textiles. I had the privilege to share my perspective on how innovation, sustainability, and tradition can intersect to shape the future of Indian textiles through technical applications of natural fibers. The energy in the room was truly inspiring.

The event brought together a vibrant mix of artisans, changemakers, and entrepreneurs — each contributing to India’s growth story through creativity, skill, and resilience. The collective intent and coordinated efforts reflected a strong push toward self-reliance, sustainability, and market readiness.

Kudos to the organizers for their dedication and vision in making EKTA such a meaningful and action-oriented experience.

Let’s continue to build on this momentum and support innovation at every level — from the grassroots to the global stage.
