Give Your Killer Start-up Ideas Wings with Start-up Coaching

A startup is something we all have dreamt about. We all wanted to give up our monotonous 9 to 5 jobs to become an entrepreneur. No matter how glitzy life looks after succeeding as an entrepreneur, the effort and determination to build a company from scratch are innumerable.

Many people dream of building a Fortune 500 company, but it all starts with one idea. Yes, A start-up idea is not just an idea but a building block of the company. All the established companies that you see today were just an idea before.

A startup idea is a very critical factor for any business. If the idea is worth and unique, then no one can stop it from succeeding. However, if you use stale and simple ideas, they are bound to fail in the market.

Every idea that hits your mind can be the start that you’ve been looking for. Being an entrepreneur, I have a lot of experience and knowledge about the marketplace. Clients often come with their raw ideas to give them shape. My coaching helps them form a practical plan for the execution of their idea.

How can a simple startup idea transform your future?

If I’ll ask you about your favorite food ordering application, the answer for 90% of people would be Zomato. But have you ever given it a thought that how it all started?

Well, Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah were IIT-Delhi pass-outs. They were working in Bain & Co in New Delhi during their early years. One day while sitting in their office during lunch, they saw how many people waited for a long time just to get a flash of the menu card. It gave them the idea to create a platform where people can see menus through their mobile phones.

They planted this idea in their mind and led to the vegetation of ‘Foodiebay’. Soft copies of the menu cards were uploaded on the platform, and now everyone in the office started using the provision and conserved their time. It increased traffic on their website and reduced the rush at restaurants. Now, they had to expand their website so they could make it available to everyone.

Foodiebay, which was started in New Delhi, was now extended to Mumbai and Kolkata. The number of users on the website remained constant. With each passing year, Foodiebay became more popular by rendering peculiar services to its customers.

However, the founders had bigger plans for the platform. They did not want to stop the hustle here. Soon they decided to take their platform on an international level. Thus, Foodiebay was modified to Zomato making it more catchy and simple.

However, things were not as easy as they might sound. They built a mobile application to simplify the access for the users. The biggest challenge for Zomato was to cover all areas in all cities. They did not want to miss famous local restaurants. The founders believe their biggest challenge was to hire the right team. Since all the processes depend on the team, they did not demotivate the team.

You see, a simple start-up idea built not even intending to earn money became one of the best successful start-ups of India. Today, Zomato has more than 62.5 million registered customers getting them huge revenues.

So, do not think your idea is too basic or silly to turn into a profit-earning business. You never know which idea sparks the light and takes you on a new journey.

What are Start-Up ideas coaching?

Many times ideas are generated in our heads. We often see a situation and come up with a solution, but are not confident enough to confide with it. Most of us have had a start-up idea once in our lifetime, but not all execute it in real life.

Start-up idea coaching is designed to help you come up and work on a start-up idea that interests you. We help you find your passion and change it into a business. Being an entrepreneur, I even help clients with post-idea work of establishing a start-up.

How to find an idea for a new start-up?

An enthusiastic mind can come up with many ideas in days, but are all those ideas enough to change into reality?

Most clients come to me with a common question, “I want to start a startup, but have no ideas. What can I do?

Well, as I have already said, an idea is the first step of starting a startup. If you don’t have an idea, here is what you can do instead.

  • Startup Counseling

The first step of building a startup is to generate ideas. If you don’t have ideas of your own, you can consult a professional who can help you bring new ideas to the table. A startup counselor or a business coach will fill you with the right mentoring to help you take the first step. As a counselor, I help you find your passion in life and turn that passion into a business idea. It not only gets you an idea but also makes you love what you do.

  • Spread Knowledge

If you’re not sure what you should do to start a startup, then here’s what you can do. Well, for a startup you don’t always need an idea or base to begin. One thing that you can do to start a thing of your own is teach something that you’re good at. Spreading knowledge and forwarding your skills to people is a good way of starting a fling of your own. In fact, you can earn good money by teaching what you’re good at. For instance, you are skilled in Digital Marketing, you can start an online course to teach people the basics.

  • Don’t Stop Trying

Let me be honest, the one startup idea you come up with doesn’t need to be a huge success. Many times even a killer idea does not sustain in the market. However, you should not just give up. You have to keep trying until you succeed. Business is risky, and so are its consequences. If your business does not perform well, you need to come up with a more innovative idea than just giving up. It is also one of the essential skills taught in our coaching.

  • Test Your Ideas

One easy way to ensure or pre-check how well your startup would do in the market is by running some cheap tests. When you run tests, you get to know the survival chances of your idea in the real marketplace. One more pro of this step is that it lets you know the kind of audience and market you’ll attract. So, before building a product out of your idea, you should try some cheap tests to see if it will sustain the market or not.

  • Bring In New Ideas

A start-up must be built on a fresh idea. When you’re planning on giving your entrepreneur journey a start, you’d want it to be different from others. It is quite hard to find new start-up ideas when you feel almost everything has been developed around you. It is where start-up idea counseling can help you. It brings your innovative side out where you learn about some really amazing things that can be turned into a business opportunity. If you want to start a gig of your own, get counseled.

  • Look for problems and solutions

Many times, when we run some software, visit a new restaurant or go to someplace, we might encounter something that we don’t like. For instance, you really like a game and play it often, but you also find some problems in it that you think can be solved for better performance. You may even find some scope of improvement. Well, if it is the case, you already have a startup idea with you. When you find a solution to a problem, you’re expanding the scope for an already established market. Most startups today work on this principle. They find the shortcoming of their competitors to produce an improved product. It creates a more secure environment for your startup.

  • Follow Your Passion

Startups are not always about helping people or find solutions to problems. Startups are equally about doing something you love. Many people follow their passion and turn it into a business opportunity in no time. I remember one of my friends was a successful banker. She was earning in 7 figures and had a luxurious life. However, she would not feel content as she wanted to do something she loved.

She had a great interest in baking and soon started baking as a side gig. Even though she didn’t need finances, she wanted to follow her passion. She opened a home bakery and received a great response from customers. Today, she runs two branches of her bakery and has succeeded as an entrepreneur. You see, sometimes a startup is just a passion away. If there is something you love, turn it into your work.

  • Connect with the right people

Networking is everything for a business especially when you’ve just started. Your success depends a lot on the kind of people you connect with. As an entrepreneur, I can confidently say that networking plays a critical role in your success. If you’re building the right relationships, they will take your business to newer heights. However, bad relationships often lead to disastrous failures. Build relationships with entrepreneurs and use their help to leverage your services.

  • Form A Strong Team

When it comes to the foundation of a company, it very much depends on the core team members. If you have productive and energetic members in your team, they will work hard and help you achieve your goals. However, a bad team will take your business down in no time. You should lay a lot of emphasis on building your team. Do not rush things when it comes to team-building. Choose people wisely as they will decide the fate of your idea. I have seen so many people getting betrayed by their own team members, and there is nothing worse.

  • Learn From Competitors

When you are in the business world, you should not only be competing with other similar companies but learning from them. People watching is a great way of generating startup ideas. You should watch people and see how they work before starting a business. Interact with as many people as you can and learn the marketplace. You should also discover their pain points to prepare yourself for the same. You don’t have to necessarily meet them in person. You can follow their interviews and listen to podcasts to know their journey.
