Premarital Counselling, Infidelity, and Fear of Marriage Is Getting Real for Gen Z

Premarital Counselling, Infidelity, and Fear of Marriage Is Getting Real for Gen Z

I, Ritu Singal, a life coach, am not here to just promote relationship counselling services. I’m here to tell you the truth. Raw. Brutal. And honest.

So, let’s talk beyond the fluff of premarital counselling and face what Gen Z is truly going through.

When the Dating Coach Gets Cheated On

Remember Wizard Liz? A popular dating coach who preached self-love, boundaries, and avoiding toxic men? She recently revealed she was four months pregnant when her boyfriend cheated on her. The internet went wild. And rightfully so.

She was the poster girl for getting your love life right.  yet her world seemed to collapse. Yes, she ended things quickly. But her story opened a wound for many Gen Z readers: _”If someone like her can get cheated on, what chance do I have?

MUST WATCH

Cheating: Then vs. Now

Cheating isn’t new , Gen Zs should know that  It existed in previous generations too. Husbands working late, wives out more than usual—there were signs.

What’s the difference then? The difference there is that now cheating has become 10 times easier.

You’re just a swipe or a DM away from crossing a line. Reconnecting with an ex is one Ola or Uber ride away. Temptation is one insta dm or a video chat away.

So yes, Gen Z’s fear of marriage? Totally valid.

Unhappy but Together: The Reality of Past Marriages

Were Earlier Marriages Really Happier?

So yes fear of marriage of marriage in completely valid. Given the dating scenarios, the number of divorcees and more. But do you think people didn’t want to divorce when they were married earlier? Do you really think those couples who stayed together for long time were happy together?

Yes they were ..on paper with no divorce. And today some divorce couples are happier but not on paper in real.

Earlier, divorce was shameful, people didn’t know what they needed. People just stayed married to look good in front of society, but their kids faced the brunt of abusive marriages. Separation is better in such cases.

The fact that now people can end such relationships is progress not problematic.

Fairytales vs. Reality

I know many of you still dream of that perfect, fairytale marriage. But let’s get one thing straight:

Fairytales are for bedtime stories. Marriage is a full-time, evolving process.

And I’m not here to promise that you won’t meet cheaters or toxic partners. I’m here to show you how to avoid red flags before its too late

You might think you already know. But recognizing danger and reacting to it are two different things. That’s where counselling can help.

Why Marriage Counselling Matters Today

And no I(Ritu Singal) am not going to tell you that there will be no cheaters ,there wont be abusive partners .I am telling you I will help you how to identify the redflags in partners before hand.

And yes, you may already know that . But what you may not know is how to handle such situations.

If today there are more divorces, there is more marriage counselling too, and people who truly want to save their marriage are doing the work with their partners. Which type do you want to identify as? It’s your choice

Final Words of Hope

You are the generation that believes in therapy, emotional intelligence, and breaking generational trauma.

So don’t give up on love just because the world looks messy. Don’t fear marriage. Prepare for it. Work on yourself. Choose wisely.

And if you need help, I’m here. Visit my website to begin your journey.

Mindset Mastery: Become the Best Version of Yourself through Mindfulness and Self-Awareness with Ritu Singal

Mindset Mastery: Become the Best Version of Yourself through Mindfulness and Self-Awareness with Ritu Singal

Being the best version of yourself has different meanings for different people. Hey, you, the one reading this now, I, Ritu Singal, a life coach, have found you. Perhaps this is your sign to go and live the life you want.

You’ve definitely thought about climbing the hardest mountains of your life, and you desire to reach somewhere. I see you; you seem so confused regarding what you want to be. Society tells you something, social media something else. In this cluttered world, how do you find your voice? What do you do to find yourself?

Everyone’s idea of success is different. For some, it is a home and family; for others, it is excellence in career, respect in society, or a balance between career and housework . Not everybody wishes to earn a million dollars. Some just wish to earn enough to provide for their family, friends, themselves, and take care of society. Does it mean they are not being the best version of themselves? Today’s hustle culture prioritizes career over everything, and some people don’t want that.

MUST WATCH

It is okay to not want that. Does it mean that person is not being the best version of themselves? Despite being an entrepreneur of three companies, I (Ritu Singal) feel that they give so much equity to the profession of an entrepreneur that somebody’s 9-to-5 job is looked down upon. Today’s social media idealizes the entrepreneurial grind, and employees are looked down upon.

If a person likes a stable income, likes working only between 9 to 5, loves their job, and doesn’t want to take leadership positions, what is so basic in that? He is being his best version.

Being the best version means maximizing your potential according to your vision. To make sure you optimize yourself and make the most of it, you need to control the controllable: Health, mental health, time, and discipline.

Listen to Your Body, It Knows Best

Listen to your body. Your body is constantly telling you a variety of things. Your drowsiness, back pain, or lethargic energy is telling you that you need to work out. When you feel stuck or under pressure, move your body.

Skin problems and rashes are either signs of stress, unhealthy eating, dandruff, or allergies. Even when someone is not good for you, your body feels the negative energy. It tells you to run away from that person. When you feel anxious around something or anything that triggers you, your body is revealing an unknown hurt. That’s why your body aches or you have more health problems when you are with the wrong people.

Each time you people-please or sabotage yourself, you feel a tingling sense of unworthiness in your body. Your mind may have forgotten what happened, but your body knows.Your body also pleads for rest/ The eye bags under your eyes, tired, sweaty body, and racing mind are all signs that your body needs rest.

Mental Wellness + Personal Growth = Success

You can be the most productive and disciplined person ever, but if you don’t care about your mental health, you will suffer. Because when you need to do your work, you need to focus. And you can be 100 percent focused only if you regulate your emotions and change your mindset. Otherwise, you may spiral into overthinking, restlessness, depression, and more. If you suffer from these, a mental health coach is advisable.

MUST WATCH

These two aspects of your life will help you actually thrive in all the other aspects of your life.

Then you get to step number three, which is enhancing your personality to be the best version of yourself. A personality development coach like me helps you redefine your inner as well as outer aspects of your personality. I analyze and assess your personality through SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats). Then, based on that, I help you define your personal goals like leadership or emotional intelligence. Based on this, we set a realistic growth plan. We then break barriers to what your highest self can be by challenging limiting beliefs, communication gaps, and more. Furthermore,, we aid you through support and accountability.

Becoming the Best Version of Yourself: A Proven Blueprint

Here, real-world skills such as emotional regulation and body language for the position you want to achieve are taught. For example, if you want to be a CEO, you have to act like one and behave like a CEO. Being the best version of yourself sets the core foundation for the highest levels of confidence.

It is all done through SMART goals: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound goals. Time management is taught in such unique ways that it keeps time for all of your hobbies.

I give you my blueprint of time management: how I manage three companies, conduct life coaching and business sessions, fulfill the duties of a mother and daughter-in-law, and have good time for myself to rejuvenate. I also help you break your procrastination and perfection cycles that you keep falling into and teach you how to handle it all.

How can I teach you all of this? Because before becoming the woman entrepreneur of the year who turned the trajectory of a business running at a loss of 50 to 60 crore, I was just like you.

I was a housewife who didn’t know the ABC’s of business. Fast forward till today, I run three companies, conduct life coaching and business coaching, and do more. If you too wish to be the best version of yourself, hiring a self-development coach like me can turn your life around. To know more details regarding me, you can check my website

Should you choose a Jack of all trades as a keynote speaker?

Should you choose a Jack of all trades as a keynote speaker?

I, Ritu Singal, a life coach, am here to show you your own power and why you may need it to get through life.

You might be wondering why hire a regular keynote speaker in India and not a subject matter expert. You’ve heard of the saying “Jack of all trades is a master of none,” but no one knows the continuation of the saying: “Jack of all trades is a master of none, but still better than one.”

The beauty of this is that it can cover all aspects, hit the chord in the right places, and come up with unique solutions that no one ever has. That’s what led me to be the Women Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011.

Learning from Scratch

It was my experience from being a gold medalist in law, dealing with difficult personalities at home, hearing about my husband’s business, being a mother, and more. People underestimate what they have. They don’t know that they are already capable of achieving great things if they only try. I can tell you from experience.

MUST WACH

When my husband’s business was in a loss of 50 to 60 crores and he committed suicide, I decided to learn from scratch. I used all my law skills and past experiences to learn how to identify threats in my business. That is how I made life easier—to identify who was doing the wrong things in my business. I decided to learn everything from scratch and used the emotional intelligence that I had gained from different places, even from the scriptures.

They say when you have nothing to lose, go do whatever you want, and I urge you to do the same. You’ve lived certain years of your life and you have gained experiences and lessons that are uniquely yours. Use it. Fuel it. You only know what kind of traumas you’ve survived on your own. And maybe you haven’t healed from it. And thats okay too .But you have learnt important lessons .Before becoming an entrepreneur, I sought counselling to help me survive traumas.

Do not underestimate the power of counselling sessions. And I am not saying this because I sought to become a life coach and business coach after successfully building three companies. You can go to anyone, but go to someone who has reached the success levels that you want to reach—both in terms of emotional intelligence as well as financial success.

You can’t learn from a teacher how to be the CEO of a company when all she has done is get 90% in her exams. In Student of the Year, you must have heard Ram Kapoor’s famous dialogue: “Teachers rule sikhate hai, lekin winners rule banate hai.”You need to learn from an entrepreneur how to be an entrepreneur or else all your efforts may go in vain. You have to learn everyday even though you have mastered it.Excellence is about endless learning.

Empowering Growth Through Keynote speaker Insights

Thats why through my experiences as a keynote speaker in India, I have helped clients gain an all-round view. I’ve made sure that whoever surrounds me strives to be a continuous learner even though they are at the highest in their career. And yes you may fail and its not a sign to quit  when you keep going through your hurdles  Failures make a person more successful.

The difference between a successful person and a non-successful person is that a successful person has failed more times—with the right guidance and learning from mistakes—than a non-successful person ever has. Every opportunity that I have taken, I have given my 100% and squeezed every drop from it.

Ritu's Healthcare Motivation

Keynote speaking is an excellent way to make an impact on large groups. From what I have learned, conversation topics like leadership, mental well-being, and personal development only work when you yourself have done the work. When you yourself have done the work, you get the results you are seeking for your clients to copy you.

A student can only be as good as his teacher. Running three companies—one a winner of Nippon Leather and two other successful companies—has made me instill the qualities that I aspire other people to be.

If you are an organization looking to inspire your team, then my noteworthy services will help you elevate yourself to the place you desire to be. I blend personal experiences, find the other person’s personal strengths, rectify weaknesses, and help create actionable steps for them to achieve their goals.

Unlocking Potential Through Effective Communication

I customize speeches in such a way that it address the heart core of the audience. Whether it is corporate leaders needing fresh perspectives on leadership or individuals looking to pave their path, my speeches offer deep insights. I offer an all round training -even minute details make difference .Body language ,paralinguistics how to shake hands with a person and more. Wherever I have been and conducted events I have seen the true power of being a keynote speaker.

The presence of a renowned keynote speaker can enhance the event’s value. It attracts a bigger audience, adds credibility to the event, and makes sure that the session leaves a lasting impact. Remember believe are motivated by actions more than words .And people can tell the difference whether someone’s words are matching their actions or no .The conviction speaks for itself

A compelling keynote speaker sets the tone for the entire event, which then helps the audience grow. If you are reading this blog, you already know what I am talking about .

Having Workplace Challenges? Here is an Actual Toolkit to Deal with It

Having Workplace Challenges? Here is an Actual Toolkit to Deal with It

Your colleagues are not your friends or your family. If you really want to deal with workplace challenges head-on, I suggest you adopt this mindset first. The fact that you are reading this blog, you already know what I am talking about. You have some toxic co-workers or some workplace issues.

But you believe your other work friends are true. Maybe they are. Maybe out of 4 close work friends one is, but you should always be careful. You never know who is spreading information and who could climb on you to get to the ladder you want. If they are not doing now, in future they will, and I am saying this out of experience and coaching several clients.

Body Language Mastery: Boost Your Professional Presence

Next, I want you to observe how you carry yourself at work. Check out confident body language videos at work. Learn from them, and you will get a lot of experience. I want you to practice it. Start small. You don’t have to go big.

Maybe for one month, make sure you always stand with your shoulders straight and hands relaxed, and make eye contact with everyone you talk to in the office. If you don’t know how to make eye contact properly, look at the side of the other person’s eye.

If you’ve already mastered these, then check out other poses where you lack or your facial expressions. Small things matter. 80% of how we communicate is through our body language.

The Art of Paralanguage

Next, I want you to observe your voice tone. You might have a people-pleasing voice tone. Observe your voice. It is usually a voice that you had to learn in order to survive. See how bold personalities like Priyanka Chopra talk. Their voice is firm, they speak slowly and don’t have a people-pleasing tone in their throats. First, slowly start practising small changes.

Learn the Corporate Language

There are corporate languages of putting places and making it sound like a boss. For example, if someone tells you to stay till 10:00 working, you can say, “My work ends at 10:00, but I shall prioritize this as the first thing in the morning.”

What You Speak and How You Speak

You have to be tactical in what you speak in the workplace and how. If you actually want to be promoted, the idea of working hard in silence and letting success make noise won’t benefit you. You have to make yourself heard in corporate so that people actually see what you do.

Listen More, Talk Less

Listen to more of what people say and talk less. People always think the person who talks more has power. Wrong. When you talk more, you are giving more information to people. When they talk, you are learning and getting more information about the person.

Dont let negativity define you

One negative statement by someone can make you feel so bad. For example, a friend came to meet a woman and asked her what gift did your husband give. To that, she replied, “This only.” And then her friend said, “Oh, your husband doesn’t even value you.” Then she started seeing everywhere where her husband didn’t value her.

MUST WATCH

It reached to such an extent that she eventually led to divorcing him. You saw how one thing erupted into such a big thing. Similarly, watch what people say in your workplace regarding any of your relationships.

They may cause a hole in your relationships. You may accidentally hate a coworker you didnt hate before or pick unncessary fights in your relationships with others.

Emotional Regulation

Learn how to emotionally regulate yourself. You can practice so many breathing exercises whenever required. Don’t panic, don’t act crazy. Observe, respond, don’t react. This will help you gain leverage. Remember, the one who shows most animosity in the room is always the weak one. You can start it simply by integrating somatic exercises in your life.

Document Your Wins

Document every win of yours so that when the time comes for promotion, you can show where you are winning and what you have contributed to the company.

Now, you might have instances where a co-worker or boss keeps taking credit for your work unnecessarily. Here’s how you can do this.

Politely and firmly change the narrative, and then say, “I appreciate highlighting this. Just to add on a little bit. While working on this project I..

Use email CC it to relevant stakeholders if necessary. If someone takes this, say, “Thanks for sharing this! As discussed in my initial email, I worked on to achieve this outcome.”

Address it diplomatically: “I notice in the meeting that my contributions weren’t acknowledged. I would appreciate it if we could ensure proper recognition moving forward.”

You can also seek support from higher authority such as HR to help you deal with this. However, I know that things are much worse in other companies.

I know what you are talking about and how it impacts you. But each case is different with different complications. And I want to make sure that if we are dealing with complications, I address the root cause. That’s why my counseling sessions are tailored to the needs that you require.

How to break the fear of marriage?

How to break the fear of marriage?

I hear you. You fear marriage—and for good reasons. But before you dismiss relationship counselling, I challenge you: stop reading this blog… only if your reason isn’t listed below.

Drawing from my years of coaching thousands of people, I’ve seen it all. And if finances are your concern? I’ve been a business coach and entrepreneur, helping people break free from struggles and build a future they deserve.

So shall we begin?

  • A first-hand witness of a broken marriage while growing up.
  • Watched the hardships of marriage, and it doesn’t seem logical.
  • Heard gossip about how marriages are only done for dowry or alimony.
  • Seen too many divorces—wives take it all or take nothing.
  • Fear of spoiling the family’s name.
  • Feel that wives only want alimony.

Or perhaps:

  • Prey of one-sided love—one or more times.
  • Giver in the wrong relationships.
  • Relationships drain you.
  • Watched people grow loveless in marriages.
  • Witnessed or seen physical, emotional, or financial abuse.
  • Experienced physical, emotional, financial, or sexual abuse.
  • First-hand experience of domestic violence.
  • Forced to see in-laws breaking relationships.
  • Feel that marriage takes away your sense of control.
  • Carry the feeling of being unlovable.
  • Often felt misunderstood growing up and felt I wouldn’t fit in a family.
  • Feel like you don’t have the heart to love another person the way you did before.

or you may have

  • Given up on people in general.
  • Have had bad experiences with relationship counselling
  • Feel you are not ready for marriage yet.
  • Don’t believe in love—only in the idea of love.
  • Love somebody of the same sex.
  • Love somebody outside of your caste/religion.
  • You are asexual.
  • Personal finances or marriage finances haven’t been arranged yet
  • Your parents don’t approve of the guy you want to date.
  • Marriage won’t let you pursue your other dreams.
  • Victims of getting stereotypical rights that are not good.
  • You are scared you will fall out of love.
  • You have no feelings towards anyone or are emotionally numb.

I am 200% sure you have resonated with more than one of these.

I know all of this because I have had clients like this before, and I understand where you are coming from. They were here just like you—either with so many unresolved emotions, tied up in their mess, or completely emotionless and reckless. I see you more than you know. I may not be able to understand you fully as I don’t know your story yet and what it holds for you.

But yes, I do know one thing: all your feelings are valid. Even without knowing your whole story.

Fear of Marriage: Overcoming Past Trauma

So, I urge you to take a pause and imagine three versions of yourself:

  1. Your wounded self.
  2. The self that can see objectively.
  3. Your highest future self—without all these wounds.

You deserve a love that fills your cup even on days you don’t want to. And yes, you’ve been reading it on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or WhatsApp—about how much you deserve the right kind of love. But you still haven’t ingrained it in yourself.

Checkout: The Power of Pre-Marriage Counseling: A Guide to a Strong and Healthy Relationship

You still don’t believe in it yet because every time you heal from one wound, another comes entangled with it and pulls you back in. It feels like an endless maze, and I know you’ve tried. You’ve tried so many times, but life keeps repeating patterns.

I am here to break those patterns for you and help you live the life you truly want. If you just give yourself a chance—this time, with an expert guiding you.

Me, Ritu Singal.

It may take at least a year or more, but in the end, it is worth it.

I am not here to convince you to only take my relationship counseling services, but if you find someone as good as me—take it.

I, too, have had to deal with so much in life—things I wish no one should ever go through. That’s why I want you to take steps to build your love or at least be the love of your own life by resolving these issues.

Different tools and techniques have helped me build the life I want today—an entrepreneur of three companies, a mother of two children, and a life coach and business coach.

This wasn’t possible for me before, and I never believed my life would turn out this way. Several of my clients felt the same, but now, they are happy with their lives.

So today, I urge you—to take a leap of faith. Give yourself one more shot at life.

Your higher self is calling you. Will you answer it?

If yes, you can visit my website here.

This is me, Ritu Singal, signing off.

I hear you. You fear marriage—and for good reasons. But before you dismiss relationship counselling, I challenge you: stop reading […]
